Electroacupuncture

Electroacupuncture is a modern variation of traditional acupuncture. After very fine, sterile needles have been gently inserted at selected acupuncture points, a small device is connected to the needles and delivers a mild, controlled electrical pulse.

The intensity is carefully adjusted to suit your comfort. You may notice a gentle tapping, pulsing or tingling sensation during the treatment. The electrical stimulation provides a steady and consistent alternative to manually stimulating the needles.

Electroacupuncture may be included as part of a personalised treatment when your practitioner considers it suitable for you. Before treatment, we will discuss your health, medical history and any medication you are taking. You are welcome to ask questions at any stage of your appointment.
